Domains

• How long are domains registered for?

  Domains can be registered for up to 10 years.

• Should I choose a .co.uk or a .com domain for my website?

  It depends on what your website is for. If your target market is global, go for a .com. If it is the United Kingdom, go for a .co.uk.

  Having a .co.uk domain name immediately tells your potential UK customers that you are also based in the UK, and that your service/products are aimed at them.

General

• What methods of payment do you accept?

  Payment is normally by way of Bank Transfer upon submission of invoice. If you prefer to pay by cheque or cash, that is OK. Credit cards are not accepted.

• Does the price include VAT?

  Black Poppy Design are not registered for VAT.

Websites

• How much does a new website cost?

  The cost of a new website can be difficult to generalise on because it depends on a number of different factors. The cost will vary based upon your specific requirements, the platform you may require (e.g. WordPress, Shopify, or custom development), and the complexity of your project.

• Do I own the copyright for the website you build for me?

  Under our standard contract you have the right to use the website for as long as you want. You do not own the code used to build the website - that remains with us.
